Carrier/Base Oils

'Carrier' or 'base' oils are pure vegetable oils extracted from a variety of plants, nuts and seeds etc. Common examples used in aromatherapy include Sweet Almond and Grapeseed. High quality vegetable oils are packed with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, and 'cold-pressed' or 'unrefined' grades should always be used where possible.
